This weeks Weather Word is “luculent.” Try your hand at authoring your own, creative, weather-related sentence using this week’s word, and if our multi-person panel of judges deems yours the winning sentence, you’ll win $100 gift certificate to the Steamship Authority along with an NECN Prize Package! A new week brings a new challenge in the Weekly Weather Word Contest! Of course, your job is the same as it always is: to author your own, creative, weather-related sentence using “superfluous.” If our multi-person panel of judges deems your sentence the winning entry, you can look forward to an NECN prize package delivered to your front door – which includes a $100 gift certificate to the Steamship Authority, too! So don’t forget to include your name, address and phone number (for shipping purposes only) and email your sentence to weatherword@necn.com

This week’s Weather Word segment focused on using the word “congruous” in a creative weather related sentence – and we had LOTS of great entries! In the end, our judges chose Ms. Peck and Mrs. Hannon’s 4th grade class from Burgess Elementary School in Sturbridge, MA as the winner!

This morning, Matt announces the winner of last week’s contest, Mr. Keith, who will not only walk away with an NECN Prize Package, but a $100 gift certificate to the Steamship Authority, too!
