“Holus-bolus” is definitely an interesting word – and has endless potential for creative weather-related sentences! There was plenty of ground to make up in Matt’s Weekly Weather Word contest today, with a winner to announce from last week, and a new word this week!
Our winner today, Molly Spalding from Mont Vernon, New Hampshire, not only walks away with an NECN Prize Package, but also gets to enjoy “On the Dot!”, a fantastic game donated by the GameWright company. This weeks Weather Word is “Contemn.” It’s your job to use this word in a weather-related sentence, and remember…the more creative the sentence, the more our panel of judges will love it!

Matt’s Weekly Weather Word Contest continues to ramp up with the onset of the school year and the influx of students taking part in the contest. Thus far, none of these students have been able to trump the adult contestants, still on a roll from a summer’s worth of practice. Who will take the prize this week, which includes the “There’s A Moose in the House!” game from GameWright? It could be you, but you have to enter to win! Matt announces the winner of Legal Seafoods Oyster Festival VIP passes, and looks down the line at the new word of the week, with a brand new board game/mind challenge on the line in the new prize package, donated by the folks at Gamewright!
