A night out with the Best of Boston!

Posted by Matt Noyes July 30, 2009 at 10:06 am

Boston Magazine’s 36th annual Best of Boston party was a smashing success at The Power Station on Harrison Avenue in Boston Tuesday night. It was a night about style AND substance as the Boston area’s best business owners and talent converged to take a well-deserved night of R&R. I brought the handheld, high-definition FlipCam with me to sample the sights and sounds, and bring them back to you! Featured in the piece are owners, managers and staff from Washington Square Tavern in Brookline; Landry’s Bicycles in Boston (and 3 other locations in the Boston area); Machine Age Furniture and Accessories in Boston; Clear Flour Bread in Brookline; and Indra Salon in Andover.

You can check out the Best of Boston for yourself in the latest issue of Boston Magazine. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy the video!

Pan Mass Challenge Forecast-Updated

Posted by Joe Joyce July 29, 2009 at 12:30 pm

pmc2008-group

This Saturday August 1st, 2009, 5,000 riders will gather in Sturbridge & Wellesley in the effort to help fund and fight the battle against Cancer in the Pan Mass Challenge. The PMC is the single largest contributor to the Jimmy Fund at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston. It is the original fundraising bike-a-thon and today raises more money for cancer research than any other athletic fundraising event in the country. It is also the most cost efficient event, with 99 cents out of every dollar raised going directly to The Jimmy Fund. Obviously, many people are wondering what the weather will be this weekend since it will be affecting not only the riders, but the volunteers and fans who come out to cheer the riders on. Thank you for all your support! Forecast details inside! IT LOOKS GREAT! Read more
